The Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority (SSCAFCA) is pleased to announce the completion of its newest flood control project.  This important facility is designed to protect homes and infrastructure along the Lisbon Channel and was funded with a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and your bond dollars.

The facility is located at the intersection of Inca Road and Afuste Road in Rio Rancho, just north of the Star Heights neighborhood.

An aerial video tour of the facility can be viewed here: https://vimeo.com/540709980

This facility will now be placed into SSCAFCA’s Operation and Maintenance program.
