SSCAFCA began a pet waste pilot project along at the base of Tree Farm pond A and along the inlet structures on the Thompson fence line trail in Rio Rancho. The goal of the project is to raise awareness of the biological contaminants that are in “dog poop” along with creating a paradigm shift for pet owners to clean up after their dogs. The project is divided into several phases which begins with flags being placed to highlight pet waste along a trail.
